Electricity went out in kitchen. Lights work, but outlets do not. What should I do?

We had just bought a little conventional oven for the kitchen so we can bake chicken. Today I had some chicken baking in the little oven and when I came back to check up on it, it was off. I noticed that our rice cooker wasn’t powered on either, come to find out, none of the appliances that required power outlets were not working. Including the refridgerator!!! In our other rooms, everything works fine, the outlets are working. It’s just the ones in the kitchen, does anyone know what happened?? And what should I do to fix this? Is it something with the circuit breaker? We turned it off and turned it back on but its still not working….
In the electrical panel, how would you know which breaker is out? Is there something on the breakers that shows which one is blown out or do you have to check them one by one?

Is it required that a landlord replace pet damaged carpet?

Last week we moved into a three bedroom rental home. Before we actually moved in the owner had the carpets cleaned. Well, once the carpets were cleaned this AWFUL urine smell started to appear in the bedrooms. The carpet cleaning company explained that the master bedroom for sure needed carpet replacement as the carpet was ruined and obviously by cleaning the carpets it brought the odor to the surface. She went ahead and replaced the carpets in the one bedroom that was unbarable.

We’ve been here a week now and on the third day I wrote her an e-mail and explained to her another bedroom in the house also has an awful odor and we can’t even open the door to the room. She said she would have the carpet service come back out and take a look to see if that room as well needs replacement carpet but that she can’t afford to have it changed out for at least a month and a half. This is a BIG problem for me as I am 35 weeks pregnant and that was supposed to be the nursery and now we can’t even move our furniture in let alone bare to walk past that room. Why should we have to pay for a three bedroom rental home when we can’t even use one of the bedrooms?

As a landlord if you are aware of pet damaged carpet isn’t it your responsibility to replace the carpets and not move a new tenant in until problems like these are taken care of? Not to mention the fact as we were moving in our furniture last weekend she said ” By the way, the heater is broken we’ll send somebody to fix it tomorrow” Who didn’t end up getting to our house until two days later. And on top of that our water heater is producing barely any hot water which is being replaced a week and a half later after our move in date. I feel very tricked and lied to. What is required of a landlord to fix? I would assume you can’t leave your tenants in a urine filled house until you can afford to replace the carpets????

It seems hardly worth 1,750 dollars when we can hardly get hot water due to a TWENTY year old water heater that keeps us up all hours of the night and a room for my unborn child that we can’t even use.

i need help with my room please?

okay so when i moved in into my house i was 8 and really into barbie so my mom decorated my room of barbie

now im 13 yrs old (share my bedroom with my 8 yr old sis and she agrees that the room looks stupid) and have been begging my mom to let me redecorate my room, but she says no because she spend a lot of money to decorate the room and that it looks nice!!!

Help!!! how do I convince her to let me redecorate??

How can I decorate my room so it is beachy-chic?

I am redecorating my room and I wanted it to remind me of the beach since that is my fav place to go. I wanted it to be sophisticated, not kiddy-ish. I am 13, so not too extravagant. Please, no smart answers. My parents and I don’t have a lot of money to spend, so maybe items on the less expensive side would be good. And if you found objects on websites, please put them in your answer somewhere. Thank you!

Dolphin Themed Room Help Needed?

Hi,
I am redecorating my room and I want a dolphin theme. I know what bedding and colors I want, I just need decorations!!! I already have an idea of what I want, but it is too expensive. Go to shindigz.com, search for underwater, and click on the 7th result, which should say Decorating Kit, Underwater Deep Blue Destiny Set - ShindigZ.

That is what I want, but it is too expensive!! I need sites with things just like it, but less expensive.

Can anyone recommend a good place to book a wine/hors d’oeuvres/dancing party for approx. 125-150 guests?

I am planning an event for my company’s annual conference, and am looking to book an area/private room in a club or restaurant for a party the last evening. Our budget is not huge (around $50-$65/pp) and it’s something conference attendees would pre-pay for when they register for the meeting. It would be great if we could do the party on a boat, but that is looking way too pricey. I’m not at all familiar with Miami, so if you know of a fun place that would appeal to a broad audience, let me know! Thanks!

How can I get neighbors mailbox removed from my property?

Tampering with mail is a felony. My neighbor has installed his mail box in the middle of my driveway, Neighbor has an easement for getting in and out of his own property and is exclusive to that only. I’m tired of dodging the mail box on my own property, and want it removed. I asked nicely several times to relocate the mailbox. I would have just run it over by now but don’t know what is the proper way to handle it. I’m thinking of sending out a bill for $100.00 per month for rental of the space the mailbox is on, which is a bargain compared to what a private mail center would charge for a box as big
