I am a bridesmaid for my best friends wedding. I am terrible at party planning. Any ideas for themes and pros and cons to a restaurant-private room vs an apartments club house? Decorating tips on a budget would be helpful as well!!

Ok I’m a 21 year old guy going to Vegas from Dec 22-25 for the first time ever…I’m going alone….so my question is…I have a deal booked at the Venetian Luxury Suite..which is their standard room…its pretty awesome…big bathroom, 3 plasma tvs, living room etc…and I get $50 slot credits and a $50 drink voucher I think..this room is $120 a night
But I figure I’m going alone and I don’t have an unlimited gambling budget or anything so I’d like to relax in my room when I get back…The Treasure Island Petite Suite also has a plasma tv, nice bed, and a Jacuzzi in the bathroom and that’s about the same price at $110
so my quesiton…is the Venetian Room THAT much nicer that I should forgo the jacuzzi at the petite suite at treasure island? Thanks

I was browsing thru pbteen.com and saw a great idea for a bedroom theme. I will be moving in two weeks into a new apartment and was looking for themes.
These are the two themes I’d like to work with:
http://www.pbteen.com/gift/thm/thmnew/thmnewgtd/index.cfm
and
http://www.pbteen.com/gift/thm/thmnew/thmnewtwt/index.cfm
I’m no teen, in fact I am 25 y/o (lol), but I like the simplicity of these rooms and would like to decorate my bedroom the same way.
Any ideas on how I can follow this theme without having to actually buy the stuff at pottery barn teens? Their stuff is amazing but over my budget. I like the surfboard bed most esp, but find the actual bed featured too expensive.
If you can actually name shops and websites where I can browse for products, it would be great.
Specific ideas for accent pieces would be great.
Thanks!

I’m trying to budget & was wondering how much it is really going to be a month. Typically, is the water & electric bill included in the rent when you are in an apartment?

I’m really into pirate stuff, and I thought it would be really cool to have a room that showed it. The problem is, I’m on a very small budget (basically I have to pay for it with my own money) so I can’t get one of those custom pirate ship beds or anything like that. What are some low-cost things to do to my room to give it a pirate theme? What kind of bed should I get, since I can’t afford a fancy one? And what kind of dresser or other clothes storage? Or, any suggestions on how to paint wooden furniture to make it look pirate-themed? Thanks

I recently experienced a terrible break up w/ a live-in boyfriend of several years. While moving would have been optimal, it’s not financially feasible for me…so, I need to redecorate on a budget. The most important room for me is my bedroom of course. I do not intend to purchase any new furniture because there are only a few pieces, however, the major piece is a 6-drawer painted black dresser drawer with silver round knobs. So, of course, I need to work around this major piece. I want the room to be modern and sleek but not masculine. Does anyone have any ideas of which colors/styles would work nicely with this piece? Pictures are especially helpful. Thanks!
P.S. The carpeting in my apartment is a basic tan color and the walls are an off-white/eggshell color.
