i recently painted my room a caucasian color. i was aiming for a dark khaki, kinda missed the goal with the previous color being cobalt blue. so now i am stuck with a peachy orange color that can only be described as caucasian. crimson bedding and curtains didn’t work. right now i have like a bright blue (aqua no boundaries bed set from wal-mart) on my bed. it is tolerable, but it isn’t what i am looking for. i want something that says comfert and softness as well as something cheap. any ideas?

The floor plan is very open and you can see practically all of each from from the other. My problem is with curtains. I need help with curtains, totally confused?

Ok! This is my first time decorating my own home and I am totally confused when it comes to curtains. I have 4 consecutive windows in my living room. How many curtains do I need??? One for each? And what size? All 4 windows together measure 130″ in width. So what size curtains do I get? Do I get 2 big ones? 4 smaller ones? As you can see I am totally confused please help me. Thanks!

Room Redecorating Help?

I am 13. I love light blue, LIME green and brown, especially polka dots and stripes. I need sheets, curtains, a lamp, a blanket, a comforter, paint ideas, decor, and any other info you may find helpful. I have a really funky style, so keep that in mind. Also, I don’t have a budget, however, cheaper is MUCH better. (ex. Target, Walmart.) Please include links.

How would you decorate a room in a solar system theme? Add chrome, glass, mirrors for punch with solar system?

My 10-year old granddaughter just asked me to come up with ideas to decorate her room with a solar system, outer space or astronaut theme. I was thinking silver like the space suits for the bedspread and maybe curtains. Would like to come up with a light fixture I could make and could use the rope lights around the bed. I don’t want the room to look too child like. Thought if I used lots of glass, chrome and mirrors that may help. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
No offense taken and it is a little nerdy and geeky. She is 10 what she wants for Christmas is for me to fly up to her house. I can’t do that but said maybe in January. She then started talking about us redoing her room. She is only 10 for one year. I am trying to come up with ideas to do the room with what she asked for yet give it some girl glam at the same time. She had said about the stars on the ceiling and I think that is a good idea because they can be taken down very easy. I am looking at buying so space posters and framing them. She wants to paint with me and for us to make some different projects.

What color should I paint a room with all GREEN components?

My living room/kitchen are attached. Right now the wall color is a neutral cream color, it’s pretty bland. My mother wants to paint the room green, but I think it will make way too much green in the room (the carpet is green, counters, parts of the kitchen tile, green leaves on the curtains). Is there a complementary color that would go good on the walls instead of more green?
